After breakfast at the hotel, travel along the Chengya Expressway toward Ya’an, a city famous for its
“Three Treasures” — Ya women, Ya fish, and Ya rain. Ya’an has long been the strategic gateway to both
the Sichuan–Tibet and Qinghai–Tibet routes, as well as an important passage on the ancient Southern Silk
Road and Tea Horse Road. After leaving the expressway, follow the beautiful Qingyi River upstream and
enjoy the scenery of the river valley.
Continue west on the Yakang Expressway, passing through the Erlang Mountain Tunnel, then arrive in
Kangding — the “Hometown of Love Songs” — at an altitude of about 2,500 meters. From the vehicle, admire
postcard‑like views of small bridges, flowing streams, Tibetan houses, and traditional plateau villages,
all showcasing the rich culture of the Kham Tibetan region.
Lunch: Enjoy a local specialty lunch.
Afternoon:
Proceed to Muya Holy Land (if weather, traffic, or local restrictions prevent access, no replacement
site will be arranged). Located in Kangding and about 30 km from Xinduqiao — known as a paradise for
photographers — Muya Holy Land features vast grasslands, mystical cloud seas, views of the majestic
Mount Gongga, and unique Muya cultural heritage. Highlights include alpine scenery such as “Flower Sea
Trails,” “Mirror Reflections,” “Sacred Chants,” “Heavenly Pastures,” and “Peaks as a Natural Screen.”
After sightseeing, take the scenic shuttle bus out of the area.
Continue to Yuzixi (subject to actual conditions; if affected by local policies, road conditions, traffic,
weather, or capacity limits, the visit may be cancelled without replacement).

After breakfast at the hotel, depart and cross Ga'ersi Mountain, arriving at the banks of the Yalong River.
Continue to the small Kham Tibetan county of Yajiang, then climb two major mountain passes:
the 4,659‑meter Jianziwan Mountain and the 4,718‑meter Kazila Mountain.
Around noon, arrive in Litang—known as the “Pearl of the Plateau,” the “Highest City in the World,”
and the hometown of Ding Zhen—situated at an elevation of 4,014 meters.
Enjoy a scenic drive through the expansive Maoya Grassland.

Afternoon:
Continue onward to cross Rabbit Mountain, whose shape resembles a rabbit,
and then pass through the Haizi Mountain Nature Reserve, home to the largest ancient ice‑cap relics
on the Qinghai‑Tibet Plateau. The average elevation here is around 4,500 meters.
Next, visit the Daocheng White Stupa, also known as the Zunsheng Stupa Forest,
the symbolic gateway to Daocheng. It consists of one main stupa and 108 smaller stupas.
Each of the 108 stupas enshrines Shakyamuni Buddha, while the main stupa enshrines the
Zunsheng Buddha Mother (Longjue Ma), one of the Three Deities of Longevity.
The stupa complex symbolizes blessings of long life for all who arrive in Daocheng
(also called Daoba, meaning “a wide opening in the valley”).
Dinner: enjoy a specialty dinner.

Continue your pilgrimage to Zhuomalacuo (Pearl Lake), located about
1.5 km from Chonggu Monastery. Early morning is the best time to photograph the

along the same route.

We then continue to China’s very own “Bermuda Triangle” — Bamei — to visit the filming location of Candle in the Tomb, the remarkable Moshi Park. According to local legend, when Queen Zhuma, the wife of King Gesar, once visited this land where the great king fought his battles, she accidentally dropped a silk scarf. It fell onto the earth and transformed into the Kama River, nourishing the stone forest and the people who live here.
The stone forest contains calcium-rich formations that change colour with humidity: light grey or pale blue during dry seasons, and deep black when the air is moist — earning it the name “the colour-changing stone forest.”
